How often is maintenance treatment required following initial treatments?

Aesthetic treatments at Sisu Clinic are temporary instead of painful, irreversible, and costly cosmetic operations. Depending on your specific type of procedure, the maintenance guidelines vary. Typically, All injectable procedures at Sisu last between 3 and 24 months. The duration of effects may range from patient to patient, depending on lifestyle factors such as activity levels, metabolism, and genetics. Keeping your skin healthy and hydrated, on the other hand, might help you retain your treatment results. Drinking plenty of water can keep your skin hydrated and help hyaluronic acid fillers work more effectively. Following your treatment, Sisu doctors will be able to recommend skin care products that will complement the effects of your treatment. For more information on treatment maintenance, please visit specific treatment pages on our website.

What if I want to add additional services to my appointment?

If you decide to add on additional treatments during your initial injectable session with a Sisu doctor, don't hesitate to ask your treatment provider. Depending on the doctor’s availability, the treatments you'd like to add on can usually be done during the same session. Some treatments, however, necessitate more time to allow for a thorough consultation and the procedure. If the time window you initially scheduled and the doctor's availability do not allow for the additional treatments, you will be scheduled for a brand new appointment at Sisu whenever it is most convenient for you. The cost of the additional treatments is paid at the time of sale.

Can I get my aesthetic treatment the same day as my free consultation?

Is it normal to experience bruising or swelling following my treatment?

Temporary swelling and bruising is typical for the recovery period post-treatment and should resolve themselves within a few days following your appointment. To minimise temporary bruising, we recommend abstaining from aspirin and alcohol for 24 hours before and after treatment. If you bruise due to your treatment, you may apply arnica cream to the affected area and take arnica 30c tablets. To reduce post-treatment swelling, you can also lightly ice the treated area for 12-24 hours after treatment. Always drink plenty of fluids after your Sisu Clinic appointment, ideally keep your water intake at 2-3L. If you notice excessive swelling and bruising, which lasts for 14-days, or if you may have additional concerns about your treatment, you can reach us at 01 912 0429 for support or call your local Sisu Clinic to speak to a medical professional.
